Piaplants

Piaplants is an ongoing artistic work in the form of an illustrated vegan cookbook. Through daily drawings of plant-based recipes, it combines visual storytelling with a quiet but intentional political message: our everyday choices — especially what we eat — are deeply connected to systems of power, exploitation, and climate destruction. This work uses the softness of hand-drawn illustrations to disarm, invite, and shift perspectives. It speaks not through shock or confrontation, but through repetition, intimacy, and care. In contrast to the aesthetics of industrial food production, piaplants insists on slowness, creativity, and accessibility. The recipes are simple, affordable, and meant to be cooked, not just observed.
At its core, piaplants is about reimagining how we nourish ourselves and others. It advocates for a future where eating meatless is not a niche lifestyle but a collective act of responsibility. It is both personal and political: a cookbook, a diary, and a visual protest — one drawing at a time.
